Geography Lesson

If you’re a geoprahpy buff, or could just use a touch up lesson like me, check out these assemble, and if you feel inclined color, yourself globes from Geografia!  They also have other options, like a night globe that glows, a metal globe with removeable sections to show the earths core, and even ones made of bamboo and leather. I know globes are traditionally round but I like the geometric shape and they would look great displayed in a cluster – smart and stylish.

Shannon Rankin

I’m particularly drawn to Shannon Rankin’s map art because I studied a bit of cartography in school, dreaming of spending my days making beautiful maps by hand. All the colors, textures, and minute details she adds seem to be natural extensions of the map, like this is how they were intended and should be.
