This series of photos from Andrew Miksys titled “Buses” is so ethereal, with the rain drenched and foggy windows.

Camera Envy

I’m drooling over this new retro looking digital camera by Fujifilm.  However, with a $1,200 price tag it looks like drooling is all I’m going to be doing.

Instead of using a camera lens Alan Jarras makes these images with light refracted through transparent objects.  Otherworldly and reminiscent of photos from outer space.

I’m having focus issues today, which I’m attributing to the  road construction noise,  accompanied by a general overall vibration, that started early this morning outside our place – not the most desired sound or feeling to wake up to.  My computer is also giving me some difficulties so I’m taking it as a sign that today is just one of those days, I shouldn’t force it. I have been daydreaming about spring, spurred by my visit to the farmers market this weekend, and my favorite trees in full blossom. Spring really can’t come soon enough but I do feel it’s right around the corner!

I’ll be back tomorrow with my posts, maybe my computer just needs a nap, like me.  However, I do hope your week is starting out on a good note!

I’m headed to the beach with my Mr. tonight after work and I’m so excited for a long weekend of relaxation and a fun time with friends.

I’m going to make this Tutti-Frutti crumble from the new Super Natural Every Day Recipe Sampler to munch on while finishing my book of the month, or I should say book of last month. Also, I’m thinking that sipping on some dark and stormy’s sound be perfectly appropriate, if not for the name alone, since I’m sure it will be rainy and windy at the coast.

Hope you have a super weekend!

At first glance these photographs from Christopher Jonassen appear to be distant, far away planets. However, this is actually a series documenting the deterioration of used frying pans – “A poetic comment on the downfall of the world as we know it.”

I can’t get enough of Irina Werning’s “Back to the Future” project! I think she really captured the essence of all the people in these photographs.  I often look at photos of my sister and I when we were younger and think how we both still make the same faces and have the same manerisms.

For further description of the project and more photos in the series check out her website.

Illustrator/ graphic designer Alberto Seveso created this beautifully haunting photographic series of ink dispersing in water, titled “Disastro Ecologico”.     To me they are reminiscent of a flowing fabric or billowing smoke – I would have never known this was ink, and I find them quite mesmerizing.  A set of photos are available for download to use as desktop background here.
