Lost at Sea

What plantet was I on when this “18th-Century Ship Found at Trade Center Site ” was discovered?  I’m really enthralled and want to know more but there doesn’t appear to be any further speculation on the findings.  It’s been my dream since I was young to happen upon an amazing historical find like this while digging in the dirt – blame it on Indiana Jones.

Time Traveling

I’m seriously obsessed with this new website/ blog I ran across, How to be a Retronaut.  I’ve always been intrigued by this picture of the “Reopening of the South Fork Bridge after flood in Nov. 1940 / 1941”. There is one guy in the photo that stands out from the crowd and was obviously way ahead of his time, which sent many into a fury thinking the photo was digitally doctored. Alas, it’s just a 1940’s hipster.  However, my favorite so far is before and after film footage of the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fire. If you are a history buff or just looking for some interesting historical tidbits you should check this site out, but enter at your own risk, it’s truly addictive.
